Jeffrey Street wharf is at the bottom of Jeffrey Street in Kirribilli and is located on the lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour.

This location is famous for being one of the most popular vantage points of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. This location is especially appealing during the Sydney New Years Eve celebrations. It is directly across the harbour from Circular Key.

Unique features:

On a beautiful day, this location is ABSOLUTELY stunning.

One of my favourite things about this location is that there is a magnificant old tree located on the foreshore. You could choose to picnic under the tree or even just sit on its trunk and enjoy all the harbour action from the best seat in the house!

Many people visit and laze about on the the grass at Bradfield Park under the bridge. Don’t let the crowds put you off, even on a busy day you can always find a small pocket of privacy to pop the question, especially down by the water.

Be forwarned. This is a popular destination for weddings. It's also a popular destination for wedding photography! The wharf and the tree are great backdrops and the Council can issue free permits for wedding ceremonies for under 60 people. You don’t want another couple crashing your proposal plans with a wedding! This location is popular for tourists and landscape photographers as well so if you visit during the week you just might find it a little less hectic than on the weekend.

What you need to know

You can access Jeffrey Street Wharf by a ferry from Circular Quay. You can also get to the wharf via water taxi or private boat. If you'd prefer to have your feet firmly planted on dry land, you can catch the train, jump in a taxi or walk over the Harbour Bridge to Milsons Point Railway Station. Check out this great blog post on walking across the Sydney Harbour bridge. This gives you a fantastic perspective on the experience and its written by the uber cool cats at y Travel.

Alternatively, you might want to get a little sweaty and try your luck on the Sydney Harbour to Spit Walk?

There are public toilets located at Milsons Point Station and under the bridge within Bradfield Park.

What makes this place ROCK:

You are by the water.

You have an EPIC backdrop.

You won’t have any problems getting there.

You are close to a great pub in Kirribilli that serves beautiful food and cold beer....

Its close to Luna Park in case you want to have a go on a Ferris Wheel

OMG. Love that tree.
